In order to successfully launch the new collaboration social network in a large financial services institution, a new model had to be established to address company policy, risk requirements, and satisfy multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
After researching required FINRA and SEC requirements, developed a process to properly assess the components (functionality) of the social platform in accordance with the requirements, allowing legal teams to provide input. Then developed a framework according to the component groupings to address each information security area and other program pillars.
After achieving executive buy-in, approach was translated into a product roadmap allowing the program to move forward and launch company-wide.
